Sunday 20th January 2013

First of all, I'd like to say a huge thank you to all of you who read my previous blog: Sunday 1st July 2012. I wasn't expecting many people (if any) to read it, and I've had a few emails and DMs saying how much you enjoyed it, so thank you.

This blog is pretty similar to my previous blog. I will be writing up my experience of the second time I met James & Ola Jordan. I met them at The Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour - 2013. It was actually the first time I'd been to this tour, but I did go to the professionals tour in 2009/10...

It all started at 5.30am when my alarm went off, and it was the only time I was looking forward to hearing that beeping sound at such an early hour. I did my usual morning routine, and actually looked forward to getting dressed more than I normally do. Me, Megan & Kirsty (Jordan fans) had bought the same t-shirt, ''I <3 JAMES & OLA'', and we were all so excited to be wearing it.

Me & Mum had left the house at around 7.00am. It was still dark outside so we were still quite tired, but by the time we were on the A road, we were fine. Mum actually began to get quite excited because we were listening to the music that we predicted would be used on the Tour!
The Tour was actually in Birmingham, and baring in mind we'd already figured it was snowing there, we were quite cautious, hence why we left quite a bit earlier than we normally would. The doors weren't open until 12 noon, whoops! As you can probably imagine, the car journey seemed to take forever as I was so damn excited, and every time the road sign told us how many miles we were from Birmingham, I'd shout ''-- MILES FROM JAMES AND OLA MOTHER''. I think I was excited at the fact we had front row tickets ha.

So, at around 11am we arrived in Birmingham and were finding a parking space. I think we parked in the West car park, but I'm not sure. Me and Mum got out of the car and began walking to the arena (NIA). It was snowing quite heavily, so we were blooming freezing! We ventured around the arena and tried to open all the doors, and they were all locked, uh oh. We carried on walking round and we saw 2 guys plowing through the snow trying to make paths for people. We asked them why the doors weren't open and they replied with ''It says on your ticket they open at 12!'' and it was me and Mum that were wrong, we thought that meant the doors in to the show room, not the actual building!

We had nowhere to go as the nearest cafe was around 1 mile away, and we weren't going to walk in the snow, so we decided to just find shelter. I was playing around on my phone decided to Google where the stage door was, and I asked Mum if we could walk down there (as it stated online it was sheltered). We ventured down to the stage door which was a mission and a half to find, but we found it!

By this time, it was around 11.20am and we were already like ice blocks. There were a few stewards walking in and out of the door and I was so, so eager to see James & Ola. Whilst we were standing there, Mum said ''Tweet them and tell them we're out here for them!'' so I did...

As soon as I sent the tweet, Mum tapped me on the shoulder and says ''Liv... I'm sure that's Lisa and Dani!'' and it turns out that they were having a cigarette behind a MAHOOSIVE pillar, which probably wasn't the worst idea because there were quite a few other people waiting around that were there to see the show. Luckily... Mum was the only person to clock them. She sneaked over, tapped Lisa Riley on the shoulder and said ''Pssst! Can my daughter have a quick photo, she's a huge fan!'' (aimed at Dani Harmer a.k.a TRACY BEAKER ASDFGHJKL). They ever so kindly said yes so I had a quick photo with them, and they went straight back inside.

So it then reached around 11.45am, me and Mum were desperate to go inside, because we were turning blue it was so cold. My phone lit up in my hand through my glove and I saw Ola had tweeted ''Having my hair and make-up done'' or something like that. By this point, I literally had given up any hope of me meeting her or James.

SECONDS, YES, SECONDS after that, the sliding door opened and who walked out? WHO? James Jordan. Mum said my mouth dropped like 1 foot and he saw me, smiled and asked me to come over. So, I ran over to him and he said ''Hello babe, nice to see you again! How are you?!'' Now, ladies and gentlemen, does this mean he remembers me from July, or??!!??!! (He was also with Phil Tufnell who was actually a lot different to how I thought he was, he's very shy in real life when you meet him).

So, I was in mid-hug with James and he whispered ''Look who's behind me...'', and guess who was behind him... GUESS GUESS GUESS! Ola Jordan! She was standing in the door, with her Strictly onesie on! How a woman can look so damn beautiful in a onesie is completely beyond me, but she did. She was looking at me and smiling, and as I caught her eye, she waved me over to her. So James let me go, and I walked over. She had the biggest smile on her face, and said ''Hey Livvie, how are you sweetie!?'' and leaned in for a hug. So I obviously gave her a hug and she squeezed me so damn tight I could hardly breathe! (Can I just point out that whilst all this hugging was going on between me and Ola, Mum and James were having a conversation about how cold it was, LOL). When Mum and James had finished their conversation, Mum pointed at my t-shirt and said ''Hey! Have you seen the latest addition?'' to James, and he laughed and said ''I love it!''

Ola told me she couldn't stay for long as she had to go inside to get changed, and I obviously completely understood, so I asked if I could have a picture with her. She said ''Of course! Hugs!'' and put her arm around me, to have a photo.

As we had this photo, a few people had kind of seen who it was and started to point, but you could tell they weren't entirely sure. Ola's phone began to ring so she answered it, and it was someone from her family in Poland as she was speaking pure Polish, which was so strange yet interesting to hear. When the phone call had finished, she held on to my hand, moved me to a position so all the other people couldn't see her, and leaned her head on my shoulder so nobody could clock her, it was so damn cute I can't even. :')

Someone came out from the stage door (clearly crew) and told them that they had to go back inside for the rest of hair, make-up and costume. Mum quickly asked if I could have a photo with James & Ola together and they said ''Sure, get in the middle!'' (JORDAN SANDWICH NUMBER 2)

They apologised that they had to rush off but I said that it was fine and I understood, so I gave James a final hug and thanked him, and he said ''No problem babe! See you soon ok?! ... OH, and remember to vote for me, not your friend!'' (meaning Ola omfg). Ola then gave me a final hug and said ''Hope you enjoy the show! Remember, vote for me because we're friends!'' and giggled, pointed at James and stuck her tongue out to him. :') I laughed, said ''Ok!'' to practically both of them, and they went back inside. (Can I just point out that Karen Hauer was inside the door talking to some people ok). As they went back inside and the door shut, Ola turned around, waved, blew me a kiss and did the same heart with her hands as she did in Kettering when I met her the first time. (I was crying).

SO THAT, my friends, was that. I had met James & Ola Jordan, Lisa Riley, Dani Harmer and Phil Tufnell. I won't go in to what happened in the show as such, but I will tell you some things that happened...
1) When it was Louis & Ola's second dance, I shouted ''GO ON LOUIS!'' and Ola smiled at me.
2) When it was Denise & James' second dance, I shouted ''GO ON DENISE!'' and she put her thumb up.
3) LOUIS & OLA WON AND I WENT FOOKING CRAZY, I TELL YOU NOW. I WENT MAD. I was so damn excited and it was great and I'd seen Ola lift a glitter ball.

Ok, so that's what happened on Sunday 20th January 2013. It was probably as good as, if not, a little bit better than when I met them the first time as they recognised me even more and yeah. Asdfghjkl I love the Jordan's.

Thanks for reading!

Sunday 1st July 2012

So this is a post I've been meaning to write since Monday 2nd July 2012... But I just never got round to it and I have no idea why. It's been requested so many times on my ask.fm, Twitter and Facebook so I decided that this evening I'd finally share this special day with you, the day I met James & Ola Jordan for the first time.

So as you've already figured from the title, it was actually a Sunday when I met them. It was 3 days after my Leavers Day and I was still on a high from that, so this day couldn't have been any better.
It's weird to think that I literally didn't Tweet anything all day, up until about 5.30pm when I was ready to leave for the theater where they were performing.
It was just me & Mum that were going, which was quite nice as it meant we could spend some girly time together, and I think she'd given up on trying to calm me down and actually joined in with my oh-so-ridiculous fan girling.

(We both look totally different now, and none of us like this picture but hey...)

James & Ola were performing at the Kettering Lighthouse Theater, which was about 2 seconds away from my old Gymnastics Club so we knew exactly where we were going, but we still left with an hour and a half to spare, just in case.

When we got to the Theater, we managed to somehow find a parking space which was right outside of what could only have been the 'stage door', but it was actually a door to the dressing rooms and back entrances of the theater. I had the A4 photos on my lap, the camera, and my phone, so I couldn't get out of the car in any sort of hurry. When Mum had parked the car, taken off her seat belt, and looked up to see what way we had to go, she said ''Liv...'' and it was such a strange tone of voice she used I didn't know what was going on. I just replied with ''What?'' because I was still trying to sort out the order of what I was going to carry. Mum excitedly just replied ''That's James!!!'' and I literally refused to believe it. James fricking Jordan was standing LITERALLY a meter away from our car, behind the barrier, having a cigarette. Mum didn't want him to go back inside, so she immediately lumbered me with the car keys and her phone to get out, and try and clock him without others seeing. She creeped over to him, and from what she told me she said ''Psst... Hello Mr Jordan'' and I can just imagine her saying it. Hilarious.
By this time, I'd finally sorted out my thousands of items, and unplugged my seat belt, got out of the car, and James looked up and saw me. My Mum also turned around and said ''You know your Twitter fan, Livvie Holden...?'' and before she could even finish her sentence, James said ''I know, I've just spotted her getting out of the car. Where can I get a t-shirt like that?!'' (he said with a cute little giggle). So by this point I was literally flawed and didn't know what to do, I was actually quite teary because I couldn't believe he recognised me. It's amazing how much a simple icon on Twitter can jog someone's brain in to knowing who another person is without meeting them before.
I didn't really know what to say... I thought I'd be quite normal, but I just turned so, so shy. My Mum was having a full of conversation with him about how far he'd come, how far we'd come, and she said ''You look very tanned! Have you been on holiday?!'' and he just said ''No, I played golf yesterday and my head is literally boiling!'' and I was just listening. A few other people had noticed he was there but just kind of said hi and gone inside the building. James actually said to me ''Ola's just inside getting ready, and looking forward to meeting you!'' and by this point that was it. Gone. Finished. The flood gates had opened.
By this point we must've been with him about 10 minutes, which flew by, so Mum said ''Can we have a quick photo whilst the sun is shining?!'' and he was so lovely, he said ''Sure, sure! Come here babe!'' (YES, BABE, HEART, GONE) - So I had a photo, then I obviously took one for Mum because well, I wouldn't have even met him if it wasn't for her! I'd have been to shy to speak!

We said goodbye, and James said that he'd tell Ola we were here! (ASDFGHJKL).

So, me and Mum began walking up to the main entrance of the theater, and that was where me met CHESSIE! (Who is now like a fricking sister to me and I'm so glad her Mum introduced us lololol).

When we got inside, I was greeted by this woman. I had no idea who she was, I didn't know anyone going, I was literally like ''Um........'' and then she introduced herself. ''Hi, I'm Lucy! You must be Livvie? I run the Twitter for this place!'' and it all sunk in! I'd been tweeting the Lighthouse Theater for months because I was so damn excited I cannot even tell you.

I won't go in to too much detail about the actual show itself, because it'll take up soooo much time, but what I will tell you is that they did the Rumba, Jive and the Team Cola Charleston! Also, there was a Q&A section whilst Ola was changing outfits, and as Chessie was on the front row, she decided to ask James this question...
''If you were on the moon with Ola, what dance would you do?!''
and in no word of a lie, the whole audience were in hysterics. James' face was one of the most funniest things I've ever seen and omfg, this is where Chessie got her name 'Colemoon!'

So yeah... After the show, me and Mum queued up to meet them, as they confirmed they were doing a meet and greet during the show. Funnily enough, we actually ended up queuing behind Chessie, so we got talking about the show, and her amazingly hilarious question...
Time flew by, and the queue was getting smaller and smaller, and we'd actually discovered that there were two queues, one seemed to be for James, and the other for Ola (hense the split of sexes as all the men were one side, and all the women were the other)... So my Mum decided to just basically jump queue and go round to the other side of the table, and as I get quite claustrophobic, I had to get out of the crowd, so I went with her and all of a sudden we were right close to the table. Chessie, her auntie and her Mum basically let us queue with them, and apparently  when the queue went right down and we could see the table where Ola was sitting, my face was a picture. I can't remember what I did, but Chessie reminds me of THAT face every time we have a conversation.
So we were EVENTUALLY behind the people who were having their piece of paper signed by Ola, and Ola looked up to them, asked for their name, and obviously caught eye of my t-shirt (I <3 OLA JORDAN) in big bold letters. It was pretty damn hard to miss. She pointed her pen, giggled, and smiled at me. By this point, I was unsurprisingly quite teary, and I could feel Chessie's hand on my shoulder so at least I knew, that if I collapsed, I wouldn't die.
It was finally time for me to meet Ola. This was the moment I'd been waiting for since the day I started supporting her.
The first thing she said to me was ''Hello sweetie. First things first, come and give me a hug!'' and I must have sniffed or trembled my bottom lip as when we were in mid hug, she said ''Don't cry! Otherwise I'll cry, and my make-up will go everywhere. Not a good look for the photo!'' and I laughed, whilst still crying, and she said ''How are you!? It's so lovely to finally meet you!'' and I replied ''I'm sorry. I just love you and can't believe I'm here!'' She said ''Aww, you're so sweet! I do love you!'' and offered to sign my photos. She signed one for me, and one to my Grandad Al, which was so, so funny trying to explain it! There was also a photo for James to sign, so she called him over, and he saw the photo. He picked it up, saying ''Look at that...'' and held it next to him so the whole crowd could see... and they all laughed, with Ola shouting in the background ''IT'S PHOTOSHOPPED!'' when the crowd laughed again. When she'd finished signing the photos, I asked if it was OK to have a photo with them, and she whispered ''Wait till the end. I want to talk to you properly'' and smiled, blew me a kiss and wiped my tear away. :')
Me and Mum waited for the queue to die down, and I was texting my friends telling her what had happened, and tweeted ''I AM SO DONE I HAVE JUST HUGGED OLA I AM DEAD SBDHJSG'' or something like that.
Whilst they were signing and taking pictures with/for other people, they kept on looking over and giggling to make sure we were still there, and trying to pull funny faces to see if Mum would get them on camera...!

So yeah... Me and Mum waited 45 minutes for the queue to finally die down so we could meet them again, and I honestly am so grateful Mum agreed we could wait.
The queue had finally gone (yay) and it was our turn to meet them. Ola turned around, breathed a sigh of relief and did a little job towards me, basically LEAPED into my arms and said ''Hello baby!'' and that was it. Flood gates were more open than I don't even know but it was incredible and ughudnjksan.
We had loads of conversations about different things that are quite personal so I won't share them. They meant so much to me and they're so precious so if you'd like to know what we spoke about in more detail, I'll tell you... But one thing I did say was I was Robbie Savage's future wife and she replied ''Yes! He told me about that!'' and she laughed so much, it was so sweet.
We got round to taking the photos and James insisted I went in the middle, so in hind sight this was actually a scientific logical JORDAN FREAKING SANDWICH which was so amazing and adorable and aaahhh. We took a few photos and the whole time of the conversations, photos and giggled, Ola Jordan NEVER let go of my hand. She also kept on giving me these really squeezy hugs and grabbed my head to the point where I couldn't breathe and actually had an indent from her earring when I woke up the next morning.

The time had come to pluck up the courage to ask them to sign my t-shirt, and I would just like to point out, this was one of the highlights of the night because, well...
Ola signed the t-shirt first whilst James was having a drink of water. I gave Ola the pen and she did her signature on the left hand side (just above my boob to be precise.) and when she called James over, this is when the hilarity began. James went to sign the right hand side, basically symmetrical to Ola's, but she could clearly see better than I could. So she pointed to wear SHE wanted him to sign, and he said ''What... So I'm signing your boob???'' and Ola lent into my neck, giggled and shook her head. (o m f g) James went to sign my shirt, and Ola shouted ''JAMES! YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG. LET ME SHOW YOU.'' and he jumped because I don't think he was expecting her to shout as loud as she did, I cannot even tell how how much I wish it'd been filmed. Ola then stretched my t-shirt so it was a flat surface, and James signed away...

I swear to god this photo doesn't do it justice but it was just so funny I can't even.
It was then time for us to sadly go as we discovered that they were travelling back to Kent that evening and we didn't want to keep them any longer.
I went to say good bye to James, and he gave me a hug and kiss, and then I said good bye to Ola. She held my face, kissed me on the cheek, hugged me, and whispered ''Can't I just take you home!?'' which was honestly one of the nicest things ever. I don't know why she said it but, asdghjkl, it was so special.
She then gave me the longest hugs I'VE EVER HAD because she refused to let go, and I said ''I love you so much'' and she said ''Hey! Don't cry. I love you so much more!'' and she then let go.

I went to walk away, she gave me one final quick hug and stretched her arm until I was out of her reach and let go of my hand. I went to turn the corner out of the door, she was still looking at us, and waved good bye, blew a kiss and did a love heart with her hands. :')

Sunday 1st July was one of the most amazing days/nights I've EVER had and I am so grateful for how James & Ola met me, because it meant so, so much to finally speak to them and thank them for how much they inspired me.

Britain's Got Talent 2013

I have been so excited about writing this post, and felt I could only do it when Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway had ended.

BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT IS BACK ON SATURDAY 13th APRIL!

The hit ITV show is loved by thousands and millions around the globe as the amazing versatile acts take to the stage in front of the 4 judges; Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams.
Being a talent show, we're expecting to see things like singers, dancers, acrobats and comedians. However, judging by last years winner, Ashley & Pudsey, I think the public will be surprised by the amount of variety we see this year, as we voted a dog act as the winner? I wouldn't have expected that at the beginning of the series!

As the years have progressed, we've seen a mixture of judges and in my eyes, they've all been brilliant. The 'bromance' between Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan in the first 4 series' was amazing TV, with Amanda Holden being the separator whilst seated in the middle.
Now we're in 2013 and the last series proved to be exceptionally popular with the public. The 'crush' that David Walliams has on Simon Cowell was too good to miss and it was almost the talk of the town for months after it'd finished, and David still does hilarious tweets on it. I think that's what people will be looking forward to the most, as the trailer certainly shows that the highlights of this series will also be the love/hate relationship between the two men.

Now on to the girls, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon. There's a lot of hate about them in the press, stating that they annoy each other and they're constantly at war, which clearly isn't true, and anyone with a decent pair of eyes can see that. There's been a few article's in the Daily Mail which have been bought to the attention of both the girls, and they have both defended themselves (and quite rightly so). Amanda has tweeted a few times about how girls should just get along and stop bickering, which is exactly true. A good relationship between to women will inspire so many young girls to love their friends and not let anything get between them, and that's partly the reason why Amanda Holden is my idol. She stands up for the things she believes in and doesn't let anyone ruin her dreams. Her motto in life is to 'never give up' and I think that's a really important message to anyone in this day and age.

The overall excitement people seem to have for the first show is actually so overwhelming to see. I may sound slightly ridiculous but I am so glad that these judges are back because I honestly believe it wouldn't be the same without them.

Britain's Got Talent 2013 - Saturday 13th April - ITV1 7pm

Thanks for reading. :o)

My first post!

Hello everybody!

My name is Olivia, I am 17 years old and a writer & enthusiast of all things beauty and celebrity related. As you have probably already spotted, this blog is actually named Oliviariel. The only reason for this is because you may already know that I have a slightly odd fascination with The Little Mermaid (Ariel) and I figured that there isn't many people in the world called Oliviariel!

I've only recently just started thinking about setting up a blog. The only thing that's been holding me back is the fact I'd be doing it for no reason, I just don't think anyone but myself will find it all that interesting. I just wasn't really won over by the idea, but then I thought, I won't know unless I try.

For a good few years now, I've finally realised that my passion lies within the world of beauty and celebrity related. I like the idea of writing about different products I've purchased in general, and what's been happening in the celebrity world. I hope to flick between the two and maybe see how that goes.

I plan on doing YouTube videos in the near future, but I don't really have the right video software or a decent camera. Here's hoping I'll be able to keep my money high to save for a Macbook Air and a camera, but who knows. I'll probably just do them on my iPhone for now...!

Thanks for reading, and I'll hopefully do a video/blog soon. :o)
